About the Movie On December 10, 2007, Led Zeppelin took the stage at London's O2 Arena to headline a tribute concert for dear friend and Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. What followed was a two-hour-plus tour de force of the band's signature blues-infused rock 'n' roll that instantly became part of the legend of Led Zeppelin. Founding members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were joined by Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John Bonham, to perform 16 songs from their celebrated catalog including landmark tracks 'Whole Lotta Love,' 'Rock And Roll,' 'Kashmir' and 'Stairway To Heaven.' A film of the show, Celebration Day, is now available and includes the entire 16 song concert. Celebration Day, directed by Dick Carruthers, is an incredible document of the now legendary concert which has been described as possibly the greatest rock and roll concert ever.
Once I heard that Zep were planning on reuniting for this show I knew I had to be there. Life has a strange way of getting in the way sometimes but this release helped to curb the heavy depression that set in from not being able to go. Prior to obtaining this release I had downloaded the majority of the sources of this show so I had a great sense of what was contained in this set. I’m ecstatic over the sound of this set.

Concerning the one being reviewed, once you get to the middle of “Nobody’s Fault But Mine” Jimmy is much closer in the mix and in my opinion the listener is able to enjoy a very clear, balanced and amazing recording. I would also like to thank all the tapers at this historic event who circulated their recordings because without you we wouldn’t be able to somehow experience some of the magic you did.
