Seven lighted ball fields at Stazio were constructed in 1990. The facility has been the site for a Men's A National Fastpitch Championship and the annual Louisville Slugger Independence Day Girls Fastpitch Softball Tournament, including an exhibition game between the US National Softball Team and the Chinese Taipei National Softball Team. More than 10,000 people play softball in Boulder each year. Amenities include restrooms, a playground and picnic tables under a distinctive tensile structure.
